Transmedia storytelling as a pedagogical approach
Description: As teachers we are simultaneously expected to manage mobile technologies that disrupt the learning process within the classroom and to incorporate these technologies into our everyday pedagogical practices (Warren et al 2015). How can we embrace and manage this new way of learning? Transmedia refers to the ways in which stories are told across multiple platforms. Taking this concept, we may see a single cohesive learning experience presented across diverse and disrupted media formats. This workshop will explore how to make a media usage plan for your course, utilizing a variety of media forms and technologies.
